Who's talking to you?

I've come to realize the importance of what and who I'm listening to. Do you stop & think about how the people and things you hear affect your life, and its quality? Sometimes people speak so well and defiant as if they are the end-all be all. But when you evaluate their lives and results it would seem that a warning signal would be blaring to stop listening to their advice.

It's ok to question what we're hearing, we're not robots. Nor are we to allow others to program us to think or behave like them. How many self defeating thoughts do we carry based on what we've heard from those around us? We were not born thinking negatively about ourselves. Those ideas were planted in us by someone else. Who said you weren't good enough or smart enough? Can you see how hearing the wrong things has influenced your self view? We've all been impacted by this, but the good news is we have the ability to speak good things to ourselves. And flush out those deep rooted things that have been holding us back. May we all be more aware of what and who we're listening to, so that we may live fulfilled and whole from the inside out. Reminding ourselves that we are not what "they've" said. We are good enough, smart enough and deserving of all the good our lives have to offer.
