Where is the money?

Updated: Aug 11, 2023

Have you ever asked yourself, "where is the money going?" I've been there, & that typically happens when we spend without having a budget. As I've heard it said, a budget is simply telling our money where to go. For me, I like having a written budget in my check ledger. It helps keep an accurate account of what's going out and what's coming in. So often we talk about wanting to increase our income while we haven't mastered management of what we currently have.

Simply put, should we find ourselves questioning why we don't have enough, or where we spent our cash. It may be a great idea to consider how we're stewarding our money. There are great resources online about how to create a budget. I find it easy to start with what I bring in and from there begin deducting what needs to go out. I begin with my tithe and offering, then I deduct the amount set aside for liquid savings and so on. I need to know where every cent goes, this includes a budget for food and gas. We must take good care to manage our lives and that certainly includes our finances. So that you & I are never left asking ourselves where did the money go. I hope you are inspired by today's post to take better care of your money.
