Over the last several days I have been reminded of how precious life is, how quickly and unexpectedly it ends. We often take our time on Earth forgranted as well as the people in our lives. Living as if there is unlimited time. Scripture teaches us in James 4:14, Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. We often waste time on trivial things. I want to positively impact all of the people I'm supposed to reach. As I think about my life and how it's been shaped through the relationships and influences of certain people there is no way I can sit by and not do the same for others. As we shift our focus from ourselves to the needs of another our perception of our lives will begin to change. It's easy to forget that each of us will give an account to God for the way our lives were lived. We were all created with a purpose that extends beyond ourselves. Our lives and time here are invaluable, we must not treat it as if there's no end date. We must be mindful of how we interact with each other. People hold grudges over the smallest offense, get over it. Life is rapidly moving whatever it is you're supposed to do, get to it. I have made the decision to daily live my life as fully as I can. There really are no moments to waste. I hope today's post inspires you to take a second look at your life and value the time you have been given. And never forget, we are unstuck, and we are free!
Precious, indeed, yet we tend to live our days as though we’re promised the next. We put off doing important things, taking people in our lives for granted, and even giving energy to people and things that add no value to our existence as though there will be another opportunity to say “I’m sorry” or “I love you”, or to take steps to improve our short time on this earth.
