Do you ever wonder how healthy or happy your heart is? Let's think about it. Our hearts do so much for us, but what are we doing in return? Speaking from an emotional and mental state, when we "spaz" out or allow uncontrollable situations to stress us out it really takes a toll on our hearts, from a psychological and physical standpoint. There is a Biblical principle that reads, "let not your heart be troubled". Meaning each of us are responsible for keeping our hearts in a state of calm and peace. It is something I've personally become more aware of.
Do you ever notice knots in your stomach or discomfort in your chest when you are in a state of frustration or anger? That's a warning sign to chill out, take it down a knotch. All of these unhealthy behaviors are taking a toll on our hearts. People may wonder how did heart disease develop? Many of us fail to make the connection between our emotional and physical being. Raising our voices to prove our points, putting others down, displaying anger, or trying to convince someone that we are right isn't worth it. May we all live in a state of tranquility, keeping in mind the toll our responses are having on our hearts. Making this our motto, " let not your heart be troubled".
