Each day you & I have the privilege of experiencing is an opportunity for a fresh start. Too often we hold on to what happened yesterday, the mistakes and failures. Instead I suggest looking at them for the lessons they came to teach. And use them as a guide for the future. What we don't want to do is miss the opportunities each day presents to us. Realizing that for each day we're blessed to see it draws us closer to death. Yet so many of us go through life as if it's not going to end. I want to live my life daily doing those things I was created to do. Time is so precious, it's something we can not get back. To make the most of each day I find that writing out things that needs to be done very helpful. Often it acts as a guide for the day. If you feel bored or that you have nothing worthwhile to do, start jotting down things you want to do. I suggest doing this the night before, I also find it beneficial to plan the week ahead. Some people do this month's in advance. It gives me a feeling of purpose, so that I am not aimlessly going through my day. If we aren't careful we will find ourselves wasting precious time doing absolutely nothing of value. Why not carve out some time to work on the book that's been in your heart to write? Or make time on purpose, in your schedule to work on your physical and mental health. It's so easy to give all of our energy and time to others that we have very little left to do those things God has for us to do. He gives each person the exact number of hours in a day. Some understand how to maximize their time. Realizing the gift that each day is and others end their day feeling burnt out, as if there's not enough time. As with anything in my life I am learning more to lean on God's wisdom. It takes very little to simply ask him, "Lord what do you want me to do today?" The ideas will come. Irregardless of the number of years I am given to live this life I want to fully use my time here. So that when I leave the small part I've played has a lasting, positive impact. Embrace the beauty in having a fresh start, embark upon it with appreciation. I hope today's post inspires you to value your days. Never forget, we are unstuck, and we are free.
