Forgiveness

I've written about forgiveness before and I feel the need to do so again. I was reminded of a passage of scripture that reads if we don't forgive nor will God forgive us [Matthew 6:14 -15]. This makes me think about how often we sin against God throughout the course of a day, more less the course of our lives. And we ask for his mercy and forgiveness but often we fail to extend mercy to those who've wronged us. It isn't always easy to forgive and let go but it is something we must do. If the pure in heart are those who will see God how can we have unforgiveness in our hearts and expect God to be ok with it? Some offenses leave a deep scar on our hearts and souls. These are the times we must ask God to help us forgive and completely heal. He knows the content of our hearts and sees every wrong committed against us. At times we will never know why things happen and I'm learning to be ok with it. I believe that for whatever reason God allowed it to happen, if He did not stop the offense there has to be something I need to learn from the experience. There has been some things I have yet to see the lesson I must know, and in these cases I have made the decision to let it go and ask God for peace. Forgiveness is important to me, I do not want to live my life a captive to hatred or anger. Daily may we all examine our hearts and when we find it difficult to forgive others remember someone has forgiven us. I hope today's post inspires you to look at forgiveness as a way to be mentally, spirituality, and emotionally free. Please feel free to share today's post with a friend. We are unstuck, and we are free!
