Financial Lessons

Updated: Aug 11, 2023

For the past several weeks we've been sharing ideas on money. Based on the personal lessons learned. While there is a lot of great advice on how we can improve our financial life, I've discovered that if you and I aren't willing to learn from past mistakes we will undoubtedly repeat them. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is, live with cash and within the resources I have. Many people are great at managing credit cards and responsibly repay them in full monthly.

For me, I had no issue paying the monthly minimum payment. But

subconsciously "the bank's money" had me believing I had more money than I actually did. It was for my benefit to close and pay them off. While revisiting my budget and making the decision to live a cash flow life. It's easy to compare ourselves to what others are doing and feel like we're not good enough. When those thoughts pop in our minds we must remember we are all on individual journeys. What works for you may not be the best solution for me. For many people closing their credit cards isn't an option and they will bash anyone who says otherwise. I've learned to value the financial lessons life has and continues teaching me. Not only do we want to value these lessons we want to pass them along to someone else. Merely as a suggestion if nothing else. Mistakes are a part of life, it's what you do with them that counts. Money errors are made all of the time. The question is what are we learning from them? I've gained a sense of freedom and its made this last push towards debt freedom easier. Not perfect, but easier. I am always looking for what I can do better, taking it one day at a time. I hope you are inspired to lovingly learn from your financial mistakes. Remain patient with yourself and excel in the economy of your life.
