Do you limit yourself by limiting who or what you are around? If so, I hope after reading this post you are open to being introduced to people and things outside of your norm. There is a very big world beyond what we see on a day to day basis, there are people who think and live completely different than anything we are accustomed to. Why not give yourself the gift of taking in new ideas from new people and places?
Living life without outside exposure of ideas, and surrounding oneself with like minded people keeps our thinking and living narrow. It becomes easy to fall into a rut of boxed in ideas. When there's isn't an avenue for new thoughts to form we tend to see the world from a one sided vantage point. Not understanding how this is taking away from how well we could and should be living. I always keep this thought in mind, people can only talk and relate from their experiences. Often we assume we know things or people we have never been exposed to. Making assumptions, personally a good rule is to not make another person's experience yours. Just because it did not work for you does not mean it will not work for me. I was told by a friend not to try a particular restaurant. For years, I avoided eating there. Fast forward to 2021, I was invited to meet someone for lunch. Reluctantly I went, and not only was the service great, the food was really good. I thought to myself how I missed out because I didn't form my own opinion.
I want us to be open to taking in the best that life has, when you've always expected the worse and are fortunate to meet someone who is the total opposite, why not gravitate to that person? In closing I hope you are inspired to do two things. Be willing to introduce new people and ideas into your life and two form your own opinion. Don't allow anyone to mold your mind based off of their views. We are unstuck and we are free, now live life with enthusiasm.
Awesome insight. We should always allow ourselves to be open to new opportunities and experiences.
