The idea for today's post came as I thanked God for the gentleman who encouraged me today. He admonished me to continue writing and through reading my post he understands that what I write is from personal experience and the lessons I've learned along the way. Those words meant a lot and were very inspirational to me. How often are we so caught up with ourselves that we miss an opportunity to speak life to someone else? It doesn't take much to lift the spirit especially when you're inspired to do so. We never know how our positive words can lift the burden of despair or lighten the heaviness of the heart. As people we go through many things at times it's difficult to uplift yourself. But the right words can offer hope and remind you that things are getting better. I am a believer of listening to positive affirmations and speaking them to myself. With that being said, I felt a different level of inspiration from someone sincerely encouraging me. As you build yourself up don't forget to do the same for someone else. You never know how much your uplifting words will mean to them. And never forget, we are unstuck, and we are free!

Those words rain so true. What is often times perplexing for me; however, is how much easier it is for me to uplift, believe in, and encourage someone else before I will do the same the same for self. But I agree that hearing encouragement from someone else oftentimes has such a greater impact on us than when encourage ourselves. Though as you pointed out, we must learn to encourage ourselves because in times we find ourselves alone or otherwise no one else knows the burden, doubt, etc we are carrying, we have to know how to uplift ourselves.
