Think about all of the blessings that have been bestowed upon you, how many of them have you wasted? Or taken for granted. Too often we lack appreciation for the good that happens to us. Not understanding some blessings only come around once. You and I will not see this day again. Yet many people have used it to complain, more than likely about something they have the ability to fix. Biblical principle reminds us to number our days. That we may apply our heart unto wisdom. Many people are talking about all of the bad that's happening in life, so much so that they're unable to see how much good is still surrounding them. Our lives are filled with blessings, life doesn't have to be perfect for us to see the good. If you are able to read this blog post you are blessed! I recall having a job that wasn't paying me what I felt I deserved. After making my concerns known to management and while nothing changed, I found myself always giving thanks for having employment. God always provided me with what I needed. On paper the amount was small but I lived a life of comfort. Knowing that my provision was coming from Him, it showed me that irregardless of my paycheck I was still blessed. How easy it would have been for me to use precious time to complain. There were many blessings that came to me through that employer. I chose to use the opportunity to my advantage. Make the decision to honor the good that comes your way. And when it feels like nothing good is happening simply ask God to open your heart and mind to see the reasons why you should say thank you. I hope today's post inspires you to treasure your blessings. Never forget, we are unstuck, and we are free!

I also wanted to comment on the topic itself of squandering our blessings. Yes, so many of us take for granted of blessings when we get them, not realizing just how much of a blessing it was until we no longer have it/them. Prayerfully we’ll learn to better recognize those blessings when they come our way so that rather than wasting what God gave us, we’ll build upon ir/them to welcome even greater blessings! I sit with OPEN ARMS waiting on a great blessing!!!
Great read today! I will be the first to acknowledge that this is an area where I struggle. You always hear how you should be happy with where you are and what you have, but I often feel that you can do that at the risk of being complacent or satisfied with less when God has so much more!! I don’t think sometimes pointing out your dissatisfaction necessarily means you’re not grateful, it’s just recognizing that while I’m grateful that I do have, I also recognize that I deserve so much more. Great words to spark further conversation!!
