I think many of us can relate to feeling hopeless at some point in our lives. During those times it is so important to remember that nothing is without hope, the darkest moments of life can deceive you and I into the belief that giving up is the only option available. I would beg to differ, it's difficult at times to see the rainbow past the dark clouds.
But it is always there, and what may feel like never-ending turmoil is simply another test that life is tossing our way. We all face these dark moments and hope is what keeps us going, knowing that this will pass. Just as the storms blow through sometimes leaving devastation behind, but at some point, the sun comes back out. In those moments when I feel like hope isn't my friend, I am quick to dismiss those feelings and thoughts. Acknowledge that they are there without allowing yourself to become stuck in hopelessness. Sometimes we must find reasons to push through, often we tend to forget in those moments that others have experienced the exact circumstances. It's easy to feel alone and like no one understands, there is always someone who can relate. Having that conversation with one person can be life changing and drastically alter your thinking. For me I also find it valuable to maintain a deep connection with God. Chatting with him or having a long conversation about what's going on inside shifts your view on things. Often, He will lead people to us that can be of help and relate to what we are going through. Truly we are never stuck, there is always a way out to freedom. I hope you are encouraged today knowing that hope is an option and choosing it is always a choice. We are unstuck, and we are free!
