How many times have we started something but failed to see it through to the end? Often this occurs when we choose not to discipline ourselves. Yet few fail to make the connection between the two. Some of us find excuses or blame others for our shortcomings or lack of progress. Biblical principle reminds us that we shall make our way prosperous. That alone removes our ability to blame others for what we've not accomplished. I think of discipline as doing what must be done when I don't want to do it.
While remaining focused on the end result, it's sad to see how much potential human beings allow to go unfulfilled. Each of us are capable of doing and being more. Yet we allow laziness, fear and just a lack of trying to hold us back. A disciplined mind will take us places we've never dreamed of, what is it that you need to refocus on? Regain control and allow discipline to be your guide. Yet another important Biblical principle reminds us that the race isn't given to the swift nor the strongest but to the one that endures until the end. It takes discipline to keep fighting, to do it when you aren't seeing instant results. To continue on when you feel like giving up. Let me encourage you to think like a winner and live a well disciplined life.
