What I know for sure is that through our difficulties God often cultivates the best of who we are. This has been my experience, I love when my life is on cruise control. If I'm being completely honest I function at a higher level when it's not. I've learned the most about who I am and who God is through the hard times. Life is an endless classroom for those willing to learn and while some lessons are more difficult than others there's always a blessing or something better waiting on the other side. I've had self inflicted hard times and looking back, I've ask myself what was I thinking, why did I make the choices that created the chaos? And there are times when God allows us to go through difficult times, I'm learning to ask this question, what am I supposed to learn from this? I want to fully grasp my lesson and move on. I have found that some times our biggest challenges are there to save our lives. And often protect us from things and sometimes people that we couldn't see the danger they presented. God knows what's in our future and He knows all of the pitfalls life has lined up for us. It's not always easy to see the other side of a difficult situation. However, we must remember God's plans for us are good and at times he will use the bad things of life to shape and prepare us for the very best that's in our future. This is simply a friendly reminder first to myself as well as to you. Our difficult times is where we grow and often it reveals the very best of who we are.
