Control

Are you controlling? Why not let go and allow God to take full control? I will admit that hasn't always been easy for me to do and I still must make a conscious decision to continue giving up my need to be in the driver's seat. Many times we don't consider ourselves as being controlling. We fail to overlook how our words and actions are often designed to manipulate people and things. To force things to work the way we feel they should. I believe God sits there trying to get our attention but we ignore His voice. And when things don't turn out in our favor we become agitated and angry. I understand that we are co-creators with God. Which seems like a good thing to the reasonable mind, that means we aren't responsible for figuring it all out. He's here to help us. But for some, His help is rejected. He did not design you nor I to carry the weight of this life. We were created to depend and trust in Him. Which for me explained some of the health issues I was dealing with. My body was responding to my need to control, it was shouting at me to let go! But I wasn't listening. Now I am fully tuned in, l desire to play my part only, God can have the rest. Life is more peaceful and enjoyable when we loosen our grip on things. Our bodies are at ease and relaxed when we stop trying to correct and fix everything and everyone. Biblical principle reminds us "cast your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you". Sometimes our lives don't improve simply because we refuse to stop trying to be God. You know, the person who always steps in to fix things. Let it be. Give up the need to be in control and watch how your life improves. Ask God to reveal to you where you need to let go and give him full access to the problem. Enjoy the freedom that comes with being in partnership with God. And never forget, we are unstuck, and we are free!
