Imagine what life would be like if we all settled in and enjoyed the moment. Too often we find our minds on racing, trying to keep pace with our never- ending thoughts. We tend not to focus on the task at hand as we've mastered the skill of multitasking oh so well. What would life be like if we stopped and simply lived fully in every moment? How would our hearts react? Slowing down to a pace that is at ease and content. I am the first to admit, I have hundreds if not millions of thoughts floating through my mind but lately, I've felt the sense to slow it down.
To be in the present, jot the ideas down & come back to them later. I can feel my heartrate decreasing and my body relaxing just a bit more when I am no longer trying to fit so many things in at once. I feel most productive when I begin with a "to do" list and being able to check off the task makes me feel so accomplished. What I've learned is this, if there is a task I was unable to complete its ok. There is always tomorrow! I am taking heed to slowing down and being focused in the moment. As careers and dreams begin to increase and unfold, we will need to understand how to balance our time and keep ourselves energized. If we are constantly doing so many things, we will miss the moment our dreams begin to become our reality because we were so busy doing and not simply being. I want to encourage you to slow it down, appreciate each moment and opportunity that you have. We never want to look back and say it happened without me knowing it. I want to know it and celebrate it. Time is priceless, it's one thing we can't replace. When we're out with friends or having a conversation with someone be present. Put the phone down and give your undivided attention to that person. As I type the words to this post, I am in the moment. So thankful that I have this space to share my thoughts, this once was an idea and to now see it as my reality is amazing. I would like to encourage you to take some time to be in the moment and cherish every second.
Amazing what we can see, feel and if we just stop, turn off the noise and be present in the moment. So much peace could be found if we followed this great advise. Thank you!
