Be Honest with Yourself

Many times we fail to progress simply because we choose not to be honest. The most important person we must be truthful with is our self. If we don't acknowledge our short comings how can we fix them? How can we move on and become better? Life and God has a unique way of showing us our faults.

Some look away, while others pretend they don't see what's clearly staring them in the face. When we fail to be truthful with ourselves we stop our growth. It's sad to reach the top and fall do to unresolved internal issues. We must take a candid look within daily and address our challenges. It's life, each of us have things we must face and work through. It's so important to be candid with ourselves, so that our private battles don't become public talk. Failure to deal with issues will only give life to them, to grow and eventually consume us. Reclaim your life in honesty and sincerity. Living free and unstuck begins with being open with ourselves and handling issues as they come to the forefront. If I can't be honest with me, who can I be honest with? Think about that.

Great truth. It’s always amazed me at how some people just ignore issues or problems, as though ignoring them will serve to alleviate then. We all know that’s not true. As you’ve insightfully pointed out, it just gives life to then, allowing them to fester and grow. As a problem solver, I’ve always been one to try to tackle problems ahead of time. For me, it’s much easier to avoid an issue than to spend time having to do damage control. But, to stay ahead of the game we’ve got to be honest about the existence of a thing. Great words of wisdom!
