One of the fastest ways to improve any situation is to adjust our attitude. Which allows us to see things from a new perspective, while offering us a sense of calmness that follows. I've learned to disagree while remaining peaceful within, recently I had a situation where I told myself before hand regardless of the outcome I would remain even keeled. Not showing "my hand" either way, I will admit being caught off guard but maintained my composure.
After this incident a friend remined me of the importance in maintaining your composure. I asked him, "do you know the challenge of keeping a straight face while knowing someone is telling you a lie?" I adjusted my frame of mind beforehand, knowing the possibility of an unfavorable outcome. It was hilarious, as I was amazed at the calmness I felt. Because had I not adjusted my attitude and thinking I would have responded very differently. A shift in attitude is a daily choice, as life is constantly challenging us. Let's be honest, some days and situations are easier to deal with. But when it's harder than usual and we feel like "going off", those are the times we need to really focus on how we feel and how we respond. Good or bad, positive or negative our lives are greatly impacted and influenced by our attitude. I hope today's post inspires us all to make adjustments in our attitude as needed.
