Often our greatest downfall can be within and our failure in addressing those internal issues. You know, those things we pretend not to notice or act as though we've got it under control. All the while these are the very things that can come back to bite us in the future. Have you ever heard of someone who's reached a certain level of success and have a great fall because of an unaddressed issue? Life has a way of opening our eyes to those things we leave unattended. Each of us has something that needs working on, that pulls at us. For me, I've found that being honest with myself, while addressing my issues head on to be therapeutic and healing. Giving me the best results for dealing with what's going on inside so that the issues are fully resolved.
There's no need to lie to ourselves, nothing good will ever come of it. Facing the truth is where we gain freedom, it's OK to not have it all together. But it's not OK to remain that way. We are on our individual journeys through life, challenges are there to teach and make us better. While it isn't always pleasant nor easy, it's part of the process. We can't fully become the best of who we're meant to be without confronting those internal short comings. Everyone has them. It comes with being human, no need to beat ourselves up. Acknowledge it. Fix it by making the necessary changes and continue on. Life is wonderful and requires our participation. Today may be a good day to work on areas where improvement and healing are needed. Always remember acknowledging our weaknesses is a sign of strength, we can not fix what we do not address.
