One of my favorite scriptures is Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, & acceptable, and perfect will of God. A question we should consider asking ourselves is this, is my mind open to change? So many times we remain in the same patterns of behavior because our minds are closed. As scripture teaches our minds are changed by renewing or updating them. And the only way we won't conform to the ideas and behavior of this world is by following the scriptures. There are many Biblical, yet practical principles for us to live by that would drastically improve our lives. When we keep our minds closed to a higher way of thinking we often miss out on the blessings that follow. Daily I want to have a receptive mind to God ideas. With all the noise of the world constantly grasping for our attention at times it can drown out what God is saying to us. As you consider your thought pattern do you see areas in your life where you are closed minded? I think we aren't open to new ways of thinking because it often requires more than we want to give of ourselves. Being better demands much more than staying the same. My desire is to really live the life God created me to live. And that can't happen with a closed mind. I can't change into the full image of who I was created to be without allowing new patterns of thinking to develop. My prayer for us all is that God shows us where we are closed minded and where we need to expand in our thoughts. I know for a fact that anytime I changed it began with a new thought. Which brought about new results. Change of any kind doesn't not happen with a closed mind. I hope today's post inspires you to consider the way you are thinking. And never forget, we are unstuck, and we are free!

Change is what the Holy Spirit is after starting with out mind, & a heart open to His Words. That whole chapter of Romans 12 is a good indicator of what God is after for us! Keep His word hidden in our hearts that we might not sin against Him. Ps 119:11
